When the leaves start changing and falling from the trees, is that your cue to bust out the Fall decorations?
We know it’s been unusually warm for the Fall, so it’s taken us a while to get in the Fall mood—what about you?
But now that we see more leaves on the ground than on the tree’s we suppose it’s time to get serious about Fall decorations.
And if you’re anything like us we love easy Fall decorating ideas for your home, so here are 5 practical tips to make your house a Fall home!
5 EASY FALL DECORATING IDEAS FOR YOUR HOME
1. COLOR IS IN! INFUSE IT IN YOUR HOME.
This year when our vendors visit us with new color palettes for tile, backsplash, flooring, and even some natural stone, the trend is unanimous: color is in.
We’re talking every shade of blue to all the neon colors you can imagine (yes, even pink!).
These colors are anything but traditional, but once you see them incorporated in a room in your home, it’s just the right pop of color you’re looking for.
Use our very own Dai’s kitchen remodel for inspiration.
Between her blueish/greenish cabinets and dark countertop, you’re bound to find a color range to incorporate into your Fall home!
Dare to be different in your home.
Even if it’s just in the trim, a door, or dining room chair’s that add a unique accent color that states, “Hello, world. I’m here!”.
2. BRING NATURE INTO YOUR HOME
The wonderful thing about Fall is the beauty it naturally brings.
From leaves turning crisp and abundant foliage it’s easy to use what nature gives us in this season.
You don’t have to go to your local craft store for fake leaves and pinecones, just use what’s right outside your door and bring nature into your home for decoration.
Grab a glass dish and place freshly picked pinecones and a tree branch or two in there and you have yourself a table centerpiece.
3. MAKE YOUR OUTDOORS COZY
The temperatures may be cooling off, but that doesn’t mean you have to close up your outside shop completely.
With more gatherings happening outside and Pueblo offering 300 days of sunshine year-round it’s time to make your outdoors cozy.
String lights on your patio, scatter various colorful gourds and pumpkins on your steps, or even hang a wreath or two to get in the outdoor Fall fun!
4. FILL THE AIR WITH FALL SMELLS
Nothing says Fall more than the smell of Apple Cider and Pumpkin Spice.
And you don’t have to go to a coffee shop to get those aromas.
In your home, diffuse essential oils like cinnamon and clove during the day or simmer a pot of Apple Cider (don’t skimp on the cinnamon sticks!) while you cozy up to watch your favorite Halloween movie.
5. UPGRADE YOUR PILLOWS AND BLANKETS
If you don’t have a favorite blanket or pillow that makes you feel warm and toasty inside, then it’s definitely time to upgrade and get yourself one (or two).
Bring in all the thick, fuzzy, and fluffy fabrics that scream cozy.
If you touch and feel the texture and you don’t automatically want to wear it all day, then it’s time to find the one you want to live in this Fall season.
If you love Fall and a charming home as much as we do then we hope these practical decorating tips can help you put on your warmest socks, flip on your favorite movie, and sip a warm drink in your coziest blanket.
